1. The Red Cape 🧥
Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl.
Everyone who knew her loved her.
But her grandmother loved her most of all.
One day, Grandmother gave her a special gift.
It was a beautiful red cape with a hood.
The little girl loved it so much!
She wore it every single day.
Soon everyone called her "Little Red Riding Hood."
She wore the red cape everywhere.
She even wore it to bed sometimes!
2. A Visit to Grandmother 🏡
One morning, Mother said to Little Red Riding Hood,
"Your grandmother is not feeling well.
I baked her some cookies.
Can you take them to her house?"
Little Red Riding Hood was happy to help!
Mother packed a basket carefully.
She put in fresh cookies.
She added a jar of honey.
She included a soft loaf of bread.
"Take the path through the woods," Mother said.
"But don't talk to strangers!"
3. Into the Woods 🌲
Little Red Riding Hood skipped down the path.
The forest was beautiful that day.
Birds sang in the trees.
Butterflies danced around flowers.
Sunshine peeked through the leaves.
She swung her basket happily.
She hummed a cheerful song.
Everything seemed perfect!
The path was easy to follow.
Grandmother's house was not far away.
4. Meeting the Wolf 🐺
Suddenly, a big wolf stepped onto the path!
Little Red Riding Hood stopped walking.
She had never seen a wolf before.
"Good morning, little girl," said the wolf sweetly.
He tried to sound very friendly.
"Good morning, Mr. Wolf," she replied politely.
She didn't know wolves were dangerous!
"Where are you going?" asked the wolf.
"To my grandmother's house," she said.
"She is sick in bed."
The wolf's eyes lit up!
He was very hungry.
He wanted to eat them both!
But he heard woodcutters nearby.
He needed to be clever.
"Where does your grandmother live?" he asked.
"In the little cottage," said Little Red Riding Hood.
"It's past the three big oak trees.
Under the hazel trees.
You can't miss it!"
The wolf smiled a wicked smile.
5. The Wolf's Trick 🌸
"Look at all these beautiful flowers!" said the wolf.
"Your grandmother would love some flowers!"
Little Red Riding Hood looked around.
The forest floor was covered in pretty flowers!
Blue, yellow, pink, and white flowers everywhere!
"What a good idea!" she said.
"I'll pick a big bouquet for her!"
She put down her basket.
She started picking flowers.
This was exactly what the wolf wanted!
The wolf ran ahead fast!
He went straight to Grandmother's house.
Little Red Riding Hood picked flowers.
She picked one here, one there.
She wandered deeper into the forest.
She forgot all about staying on the path!
6. At Grandmother's Door 🚪
The wolf arrived at the cottage.
He knocked on the door softly.
Knock, knock, knock!
"Who is it?" called Grandmother.
Her voice sounded weak and tired.
The wolf made his voice sound sweet.
"It's me, Little Red Riding Hood!" he lied.
"I brought you cookies and bread!"
"Just lift the latch, dear," said Grandmother.
"I'm too weak to get up."
7. The Wolf's Plan 😱
The wolf lifted the latch.
The door swung open.
He jumped inside quickly!
Poor Grandmother screamed!
But the wolf was too fast.
He gobbled her up in one big gulp!
Then he put on her nightgown.
He put on her nightcap too.
He even put on her glasses!
He climbed into her bed.
"Perfect!" he said with an evil grin.
8. Little Red Arrives 🏠
Soon, Little Red Riding Hood arrived.
She had a big bunch of flowers.
Her arms could barely hold them all!
She knocked on the door.
"Come in, my dear!" called the wolf.
Little Red Riding Hood was surprised.
"Grandmother sounds strange," she thought.
But she opened the door anyway.
She walked to the bed.
The room was dark and shadowy.
9. What Big Eyes! 👀
"I brought you flowers, Grandmother!" she said.
She walked closer to the bed.
Something didn't look right.
"Grandmother," she said slowly,
"what big ears you have!"
"All the better to hear you with, my dear," said the wolf.
Little Red Riding Hood stepped even closer.
She looked more carefully.
"Grandmother, what big eyes you have!"
"All the better to see you with, my dear!"
Little Red Riding Hood felt worried now.
Something was very wrong!
"Grandmother, what big hands you have!"
"All the better to hug you with, my dear!"
The wolf was ready to pounce!
"And Grandmother," she said nervously,
"what big teeth you have!"
"All the better to EAT you with!" roared the wolf.
He jumped out of bed!
Little Red Riding Hood screamed!
10. The Woodcutter Hero 🪓
Outside, a woodcutter heard the scream!
He was walking past the cottage.
"That sounds like trouble!" he said.
He ran to the door fast.
He burst into the cottage!
There was the wolf, chasing Little Red Riding Hood!
"Stop right there!" yelled the woodcutter.
He raised his big axe high.
The wolf turned around quickly.
His eyes grew wide with fear!
11. Saving Grandmother 🦸
The woodcutter chased the wolf.
The wolf tried to run away!
But he was too full to run fast.
He had eaten Grandmother whole!
The woodcutter caught him quickly.
With one big swing of his axe,
the woodcutter defeated the wolf!
Then he carefully cut open the wolf's belly.
Out popped Grandmother!
She was a little dizzy but okay!
12. A Happy Ending 🎉
Little Red Riding Hood hugged her grandmother!
"I'm so glad you're safe!" she cried.
Grandmother hugged her back tight.
"Thank you for coming to visit!" she said.
They both thanked the brave woodcutter.
They all sat down together.
They ate the cookies and bread.
They drank tea with honey.
Little Red Riding Hood told them about the flowers.
"I picked too many!" she laughed.
"I learned an important lesson today," said Little Red Riding Hood.
"I should have listened to Mother.
I should never talk to strangers!
And I should always stay on the path!"
Grandmother nodded wisely.
From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood was more careful.
She always stayed on the path.
She never talked to strangers in the woods.
And she visited her grandmother often!
They lived happily ever after.
